The Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China (on the UNESCO World Heritage list) was built between the 14th and the 17th century. The wall was built to protect from raids by the Mongols and Turkic tribes and it is over 6000 kilometers long.We took a minibus a few hours from Beijing and walked on the wall for about four hours past 28 guard towers and had the minibus pick us up and drive us back to Beijing.
